Stories
It is in our nature to wander. To explore what lies beyond what we can perceive. The moment we learn to walk, we start to ask questions. We become curious about our surroundings and wonder what is out there. Our curiosity takes us on a journey to outer and inner worlds. We go after something. We seek and embark on an adventure of lands and ideas.
Our landscape constantly changes as we explore. We come across new things and feel drawn to them—we explore them with our sight, our taste, our touch, our hearing, our smell, our mind, our body, our soul. And stories allow us to capture our experiences and give them a form to share with others. Without stories, we would not be able to know what others are experiencing. Without stories, we would not know what our ancestors found.
The journey becomes richer when we share our view. We cannot experience it all. We got one window, but there are others out there seated in places with other views. We could learn a lot from sharing our experiences with others, or even better, we could appreciate their view and enrich our perspective. Life after all, is a vast weaving of everyone’s stories.
Life is a collection of everyone's views and experiences. Life is a moving train with many windows whose passengers are constantly sharing what they see: taking notes, analyzing them, describing them in the best way possible, and documenting them. Each of us holds a unique view—a unique way of sharing what we see. Some of us prefer to write and take photos; others enjoy making films, cooking a meal, sculpting, building, painting, dancing, singing, etc. The ways are endless. And there is no right or wrong way of telling what we see. We use the tools we have, the talents given to us—our passions.
